I did a portrait session last Saturday at Red Rocks near Morrison, CO. Cheryl is a returning client and wanted some images of her and her 3 little dogs (Peppy, Romeo and Mickey). It was definitely a challenge to capture images of the 3 dogs considering they all wanted to do something other than take pictures. However, we did get a lot of good images and thought I’d show a sampling.

Of the three dogs, Romeo was by far the most photogenic. His ears were always perking up and made for very interesting images.

Mickey, which I believe was the oldest, had the most character.

For the photo techies: The lighting was assisted using a Canon 430ex with a Gary Fong Lightsphere universal attached. Post processed after Lightroom adjustments in Photoshop using the Totally Rad Actions.
Peppy was by far the most shy and didn’t like the photo session as much. But still I was able to capture one image with Peppy looking into the camera.

The dogs gave me one final pose with all three lined up nicely as we were leaving. Thanks Cheryl for letting me capture some images of your dogs and you!
