Jennifer and Wes’s wedding at Red Rocks in Morrison Colorado was truly a beautiful September wedding.  We shot their engagement session in June in Golden Colorado.  Both Jennifer and Wes are hearing impaired so there were several signers during the ceremony and reception.  Wes was probably the most articulate man with his words I have ever met.  He gave very moving ceremony vows and a wonderful speech during the reception.  We had a bit of trouble getting his ring off his finger at the reception for some photos.  A little butter from the table worked wonders. Congratulations and best of luck on your new life in Atlanta!

Jenilee and Craig met us about a year ago at a bridal show.  We shot their engagement session in January 2011 in Golden, CO.  Their wedding date was 09.10.11 which was also Jenilee’s parent’s anniversary.  To make things even more interesting Jenilee and Craig were getting married in the same church as her parents, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Lakewood, CO.  Jenilee and Craig wanted group images of their extended family which of course was very large.  We came up with the idea to create panoramic images of the family units for a unique portrait of their extended family.  Take a look at the last image in the post to see the end result of the 4 extended families.  Our technique is to photograph each family unit and then stitch the groups of families into a panoramic image.

Jennifer and Matt had the most beautiful wedding in a high meadow outside of Crested Butte Colorado.  The ceremony was originally slated to be at Emerald Lake, however, the snow pack this year was so heavy one couldn’t drive up to the lake even in July.  Instead they found a random meadow lower in elevation (still around 9500 ft).  Jennifer and Matt selected July as their wedding date because it is the height of the wild flower season in Crested Butte.  That was an understatement as the day after the wedding my wife and I went back up to the wedding site and spent all day taking just wild flower pictures.  Their engagement session was taken at Red Rocks in May.  Thank you Jennifer and Matt for a wonderful weekend in the mountains.

Jessica and Mark’s wedding was different than any other wedding we’ve photographed.  It was held on New Year’s Eve with the reception and entertainment first then the actual ceremony last after the new year.  I’ve known Jessica for several years and it was great to see her marrying such a great guy.  Their engagement session can be found here.

Natasha and Adam were an incredible couple to work with during their wedding at Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park, Colorado.  The venue was amazing and sits on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park in the resort town of Estes Park.  If you are planning a wedding seriously take a look at this venue!  So enough with the talk and here are some pictures to give you a sense of the day.

Della Terra has a very European Italian flavor on the inside.

The detail on wedding dresses are always interesting to me.

Natasha and Adam are both EMTs so this cake makes perfect sense for them.

The weather was perfect for the ceremony (next day was cold and windy).

I really liked the flowers as you can tell.

Throwing lavender turns out to not be the best idea. Natasha was digging out lavender from her dress the rest of the evening.

I didn’t catch the entire story behind the bagpiper that played for Natasha and Adam, however, it was a very emotional and moving moment for the entire crowd.

I was honored to shoot Sam & Bob’s wedding at Mount Vernon Country Club. Being my first wedding I couldn’t of asked for a better bride and groom. It was well thought out and planned, which was a good thing because the outdoor ceremony was halted right after the bride was at the alter due to a massive down pour. We promptly moved inside and started the ceremony back up. Other guests were saying that if it rains on your wedding day you’ll be wealthy. With how fast and the amount of rain that occurred I’m thinking Sam & Bob will be well off.

Oh! Sam & Bob didn’t have a traditional wedding cake. Instead they had pie!
